I would really like to see the developers add something. Hopefully, though I've recently been informed by a friend that modding in an entire race to the game might be a monumental task due to how much would have to be edited. :b You might find a lot of the more obscure races appearing as mods (either on the Workshop or the NWN vault), given one of their mandates is to open up the game to be more moddable. If it proves to have added anything like this upon release I guess I'd find out. I also mostly play pathfinder and have no idea if those same races are in adnd and if they are called the same and how 'true' to adnd this game takes itself. I don't know how much effort has been put into this though or how much would've been required to add something like that though. I myself personally find the core races done to death most of the time, so it would be nice to see a game that prides itself on its open world and is so highly praised to set itself apart with something like that. Drow, Tiefling, Aismar, Yuan-ti (and a few more I am forgetting) were all in NWN 2. ![]() Originally posted by jimbobslimbob:Indeed. I'd definitely buy it if it set itself apart in that aspect! I know a lot of people don't like the more bestial races, or even non-traditional ones, but I think its something that could add quite a bit as well as work to set it apart. In 2018, nearly twelve years later, Darkness over Daggerford was officially published as a premium module for the Enhanced Edition of Neverwinter Nights.Originally posted by Kristen Reid:I appreciate the link - hopefully they do end up adding a few new races! I think that would be very neat, too many games just stick to the base selection. ![]() Darkness over Daggerford was canceled as a result, but Ossian still opted to give the module an unofficial release by uploading it on a popular fan page. ![]() While the module was in development, BioWare abruptly canceled its premium module program in 2006. Darkness over Daggerford was originally developed by Ossian Studios as a premium module for Neverwinter Nights.
